Controversy Over Bad Behavior Has Two Sides to The Story
A blog post made on the Things That Just Piss Me Off Blog has raised a little controversy about the bad behavior wordpress plugin.
The post shows only the downside of blacklists and it riled a few feathers as you will see by the comments there.
However one commenter, nv1962, wrote a really long comment and it told the other side of the story on blacklists and bad behavior. There really is an upside to what they are doing and to blacklists in general that I have not really thought of before.
I wanted to share it on this blog so wordpress users can make their own decision regarding the use of the bad behavior plugin.

Well, I’ll tell ya what…When you run a FULL scan of the following programs: Windows Defender, Norton Internet Security 2008 (which includes the Anti Virus), and Webroot SpySweeper, and ALL 3 tell you that your pc is free of malware, etc. you should be more than a tad concerned. Especially when you do read the rather lengthy comment list on the Bad Behavior plugin site and upon it you will find NUMEROUS “unhappy campers” with that product. Especially when some are site/blog owners who can’t even access their own accounts.
