Should You Use Free Article Content For Blogs?
Should you use free article content from article directories for your blog?
Before I answer, let me say that I have. I’ve gone to an article directory and used an article for my blog, but I don’t do it every day. And I’d suggest that you not do it every day either.
However, using free article content for your blog is not necessarily a bad idea. You can do it if you think the article will benefit your audience and it adds value to your blog. Don’t do it just because you want content on your blog.
Free articles are there for a reason. The article directories are there for a reason. But don’t just snag an article as filler content. That’s a sure way to ruin your reputation. Instead, only use an article if your audience can’t live without it. The article will not help you with SEO so don’t look for those kinds of benefits. It will help establish you as a person with good judgment if you do it correctly and choose articles that your audience appreciates. If you fail to do that then your audience will abandon you.
Professional Management for Business Blogs
I think you give great advice here. Owning a blog is a lot of work. Making it a successful site is even more work. Constantly having to create new content to stay ahead of the game is exhausting and time consuming. That’s why there are those free articles, and all of those article directories. But you have to be smart about using them. Make sure that its relevant to your site, and that it is written well. You don’t want to lose credibility in your site.
i liked the idea about using free articles for your blog, but i also agree to your advices. After all your website or blog should have that extra personal touch by you.Simply adding the free articles will not attract people to your blog, what will attract is how you represent this article. instead of using it totally in “as it is” form we can edit and add some more info to give it an extra mileage.
Amy, I’d be careful about editing other people’s content. When you use a free article from an article directory you are supposed to use it as is, including leaving all links intact. One method you can use, however, is to respond to the points the author makes in the article and offer a counterpoint, using your own original content to augment the article and provide that extra value to the reader.
